Complex to Simple Sentence: নিয়ম, ধাপ ও বোর্ড পরীক্ষার উদাহরণ

এই নোটটিতে Complex Sentence কে Simple Sentence এ transform (অর্থের পরিবর্তন না করে রূপান্তর) করার সকল নিয়ম স্ববিস্তারে বর্ণিত হয়েছে। এসএসসি পরীক্ষায় বিগত বছরগুলোতে আসা উদাহরণ বাক্যের transformation সঠিক নিয়মের নিচে সংযোজন করা হয়েছে। এসএসসি ও এইচএসসির পূর্ণাঙ্গ প্রস্তুতির জন্য অন্যান্য sentence transformation নোটগুলো এই নোটের শেষে সংযুক্ত করা হলো।

১. শর্তমূলক Complex Sentence কে Simple করার নিয়মঃ

১-১. শর্তটি নেতিবাচক (Negative) হলে:

• ১ম ধাপ: Without বসাতে হবে।
• ২য় ধাপ: Verb এর base form এর সাথে ing যুক্ত করে বসাতে হবে।
• ৩য় ধাপ: Verb এর পরের অংশ এবং অন্য clauseটি হুবহু বসাতে হবে।

Complex	Simple
Unless one enjoys the beauty of a moonlit night, one cannot explain it properly. Dhaka Board-2024	Without enjoying the beauty of a moonlit night, one cannot explain it properly.

১-২. শর্তটি ইতিবাচক (Affirmative) হলে:

• ১ম ধাপ: By বসিয়ে শুরু করতে হবে।
• ২য় ধাপ: Verb এর base form এর সাথে ing যুক্ত করে বসাতে হবে।
• ৩য় ধাপ: Verb এর পরের অংশ এবং অন্য clauseটি হুবহু বসাতে হবে।

Complex	Simple
We can grow more crops if we can make the best use of rain. Rajshahi Board-2024	By making the best use of rain, we can grow more crops.
If we throw wastage and dirt's into water, we make it polluted. Jessore Board-2024	By throwing wastage and dirt into water, we make it polluted.
If he makes proper use of his time, he is sure to prosper in life. Barishal Board-2020	By making proper use of his time, he is sure to prosper in life.
If we use time properly, we can be benefitted. Dhaka Board-2019	By using time properly, we can be benefitted.

২. When যুক্ত Complex sentence কে Simple করার নিয়মঃ

২-১. When দিয়ে ধারাবাহিক "কাজ / ঘটনা" নির্দেশ করা হলে:

এখানে ধারাবাহিক কাজ বলতে এমন কাজ বোঝানো হচ্ছে যা একটা ঘটার পর অন্যটা ঘটে।

• ১ম ধাপ: When এবং তার পরে থাকা verb বাদ দিতে হবে।
• ২য় ধাপ: On / Upon দিয়ে sentence শুরু করতে হবে।
• ৩য় ধাপ: verb এর base form এর সাথে ing যুক্ত করতে হবে।
• ৪র্থ ধাপ: বাকি অংশ কোনো প্রকার পরিবর্তন ছাড়া বসাতে হবে।

Complex	Simple
When a student gets the question paper, he should read it attentively. Cumilla Board-2024	Upon getting the question paper, a student should read it attentively.
When a man makes a journey by train, he can enjoy natural scenery. Dinajpur Board-2024	Upon making a journey by train, a man can enjoy natural scenery.

📌বিশেষ দ্রষ্টব্য: বোর্ড পরীক্ষার ক্ষেত্রে, শিক্ষার্থী যদি on / upon ব্যবহার না করে সরাসরি verb+ing দিয়ে শুরু করে তাহলেও সঠিক transformation হিসেবে গণ্য হয়।

💡নিয়মের ব্যতিক্রম: যদি "when" clause এর subject এবং main clause এর subject আলাদা হয়, তাহলে "when" clause এর subject-কে main clause এর object হিসেবে বসিয়ে তারপর verb+ing বসাতে হয় (object complement)।

One-day when a thief entered his room, he caught him. Sylhet Board-2020	One-day he caught a thief entering his room.
When I reached there, my friend received me cordially. Rajshahi Board-2017	After my reaching there, my friend received me cordially. or, In time of my reaching there, my friend received me cordially.
When he gets the question paper he should read it carefully. Jessore Board-2017	Getting the question paper, he should read it carefully. or, After getting the question paper, he should read it carefully.

২-২. When যুক্ত sentence এ ঋতুর (season) উল্লেখ থাকলে:

• ১ম ধাপ: When এবং তার পরে থাকা verb বাদ দিতে হবে।
• ২য় ধাপ: In / During দিয়ে sentence শুরু করতে হবে।
• ৩য় ধাপ: verb এর base form এর সাথে ing যুক্ত করতে হবে।
• ৪র্থ ধাপ: বাকি অংশ কোনো প্রকার পরিবর্তন ছাড়া বসাতে হবে।

Complex	Simple
When it is winter, the river remains calm and tranquil. Barishal Board-2024	In winter, the river remains calm and tranquil.

৩. So that যুক্ত Complex sentence কে Simple করার নিয়মঃ

• ১ম ধাপ: sentence এর প্রথম থেকে so that এর পূর্ব পর্যন্ত বসাতে হবে।

• ২য় ধাপ: so that থেকে modal verb (may / might / can / could ইত্যাদি) পর্যন্ত অংশ বাদ দিতে হবে এবং তার পরিবর্তে to বসাতে হবে।
• ৩য় ধাপ: বাকি অংশ বিনা পরিবর্তনে বসাতে হবে।

Complex	Simple
We must work hard so that we can earn money. Sylhet Board-2024 Chattogram Board-2017	We must work hard to earn money.
This quality highly motivates a man so that he can sacrifice his life for the country. Rajshahi Board-2019	This quality highly motivates a man to sacrifice his life for the country.

৪. So ... that যুক্ত Complex sentence কে Simple করার নিয়মঃ

• ধাপ ১: So এর পরিবর্তে too বসাতে হবে।

• ধাপ ২: that থেকে not পর্যন্ত বাদ দিতে হবে।
• ধাপ ৩: to বসাতে হবে।
• ধাপ ৪: বাকি অংশ বসাতে হবে।

Complex	Simple
Elias is so weak that he cannot speak a single word.	Elias is too weak to speak a single word.

৫. Though / Although যুক্ত Complex sentence কে Simple করার নিয়মঃ

• ১ম ধাপ: Though / Although এর পরিবর্তে In spite of বসাতে হবে।
• ২য় ধাপ: to be verb এর পরিবর্তে being বসাতে হবে।
• ৩য় ধাপ: বাকি অংশ পরিবর্তন ছাড়া বসাতে হবে।

Complex	Simple
Though it is a blessing, it has dark sides. Cumilla Board-2019	In spite of being a blessing, it has dark sides.
Though cricket is a costly game, people of all classes enjoy playing it. Mymensingh Board-2020	In spite of cricket being a costly game, people of all classes enjoy playing it.
Though she was a nice little girl, she was not an ordinary child. Dhaka Board-2020	In spite of being a nice little girl, she was not an ordinary child.
Though there is a law to punish the terrorists, it is not properly applied. Rajshahi Board-2020	In spite of being a law to punish the terrorists, it is not properly applied.

৬. Relative pronoun যুক্ত Complex sentence কে Simple করার নিয়মঃ

Relative pronoun গুলো হলো (who / which / that)। বাক্যের কোথায় relative pronoun আছে তার উপর ভিত্তি করে ভিন্ন ভিন্ন নিয়ম অবলম্বন করে simple sentence এ রূপান্তর করা হয়।

৬-১. Subject + (who / which / that) +  principal verb ... গঠনপ্রণালির ক্ষেত্রে:

• ১ম ধাপ: বাক্যের subjectটি বসাতে হবে।
• ২য় ধাপ: Relative pronoun টি বাদ দিতে হবে।
• ৩য় ধাপ: verb এর base form এর সাথে ing যোগ করে বসাতে হবে।
• ৪র্থ ধাপ: বাকি অংশ আগের মতই থাকবে।

Complex	Simple
The man who takes bribe is next to devil. Jessore Board-2016	The man taking bribe is next to devil.

৬-২. Subject + verb + (who / which / that) +  noun ... গঠনপ্রণালির ক্ষেত্রে:

• ১ম ধাপ: বাক্যের শুরু থেকে Relative pronoun এর পূর্ব পর্যন্ত বসাতে হবে।
• ২য় ধাপ: Relative pronoun টি বাদ দিতে হবে।
• ৩য় ধাপ: noun টি বসাতে হবে।
• ৪র্থ ধাপ: to be বসাতে হবে।
• ৫ম ধাপ: বাকি অংশ আগের মতই থাকবে।

Complex	Simple
We hope that Bangladesh will be free from this evil. Sylhet Board-2019 Mymensingh Board-2024	We hope Bangladesh to be free from this evil.
She helped those who were helpless. Dhaka Board-2017	She helped the helpless.
