- B.Sc. (Eng.) in Computer Science and Engineering, North South University, Dhaka — graduated 2024
- Grew up in Masdair, Narayanganj, Bangladesh
- Started tutoring right after my own SSC exams in 2015, when a neighbor asked me to teach her son
- Have taught Mathematics, Higher Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, ICT, Bangla, English, and Islamic Studies — across SSC, HSC, and O-Level students
- Close to 11 years of tutoring experience, having taught 26 students so far
Why I tutor
What started as a favor for a neighbor turned into paid tutoring, and then into something I genuinely love. I especially enjoy the challenge of pulling a struggling student up rather than just teaching the ones who already get it — and the trust students and their parents have placed in me over the years is what's kept me going. That experience feeds directly into Mushtor: every feature exists because I watched a real student struggle with a real gap, and Mushtor is how I track and close those gaps at scale instead of just in my own head.
From tutoring to building software
Somewhere along the way, keeping track of which student needed to revisit which topic — and when — became its own full-time job. No spreadsheet or memory could keep up with it for long.
That's the problem Mushtor solves. I used my CSE background to build it myself rather than adapt an existing tool, because building it from scratch gives me the flexibility to shape every feature around what I've actually seen work — and not work — with real students.
- Built and maintained solo — backend on Django REST Framework, frontend on Next.js
- Every note is written the way I'd explain it to a student in person — with the specific misconceptions I've actually seen students trip on, and citations back to real board exam patterns, not just textbook restatement
- The idea took shape while tutoring the most difficult student I've had — someone who struggled to hold onto a subject once we moved to the next one, with no reliable way for me to decide what to revisit or when. That exact problem is what Mushtor's spaced repetition is built to solve
Beyond Mushtor
- Run a YouTube channel (@mushtor) with 1,800+ subscribers, focused on math tutorials
- Taught for over a year at a friend's coaching center after finishing HSC
- Outside of teaching and building software, I'm a longtime mobile gamer — I've spent time in several MMOs, and Clash Royale is my current go-to
