Force, Weight, and Gravity
1. Near the Earth's surface, a 1 kg mass has a gravitational force on it of about 10 newtons.
2. This gravitational force by Earth on an object is also known as the objects weight.
3. All masses attract each other.
4. The greater the masses, the stronger the force.
5. The closer the masses, the stronger the force.
6. 'N' is the notation used to express newtons.
7. What is a gravitational field?
Gravitation field is a region in which a mass experiences a force due to gravitational attraction.
8. Gravitational field strength is represented by the symbol "g".
9. The SI unit of work is joule and it is denoted by "J".
10. Work done = force * distance moved in the direction of the force
11. If 5 N force moves an object 4 m, then calculate the work done.

1.7 Protoctists and prokaryotes: often single celled

Which parasitic organism causes malaria?
= Plasmodium.
Protoctist vs prokaryote
= if a unicellular organism has a nucleus, then it is a protoctist and not a prokaryote.

Difference between plant cell and animal cell.
Physics
After cobbling, an object
* What is the mass of a block of platinum with a volume of 0.02 m^3?
 * A cubic tank with a side length of 2 m is filled with water. What is the mass of the water in the tank?
 * An object has a mass of 20,400 kg and a volume of 1.5 m^3. Based on the table, what substance is the object made of?
Chemistry
Difference between Boiling and Evaporation:
 Boiling Evaporation
 1. Boiling occurs at a fixed temperature. 1. Evaporation occurs at any temperature below the boiling point.
 2. Bubbles form during boiling. 2. No bubbles form during evaporation.
 3. Occurs throughout the liquid. 3. Occurs only at the surface.

If we compress a gas enough, what state does it turn into?
= If we compress a gas enough it turns into liquid.

Why does solid not flow but a liquid does, even though both have particles?
= In solid the particles are closely packed but in liquid the particles have a gap between them. So, liquids flow.

What state of matter has no definite shape but can have a definite volume?
= Liquid state of matter has no definite shape but can have a definite volume.

What causes a solid to melt into a liquid?
= Certain temperatue causes a solid to melt into a liquid.

If you put a balloon in the freezer, what happens to its size? Why?
= If we put a ballonn in the freezer, its size will decrease. Because gas molecules slow down in lower temperatue.

What is deposition? or Define deposition.
= Deposition is a process where gas changes into a solid directly without turning into a liquid when heat is reduced.

What is sublimation? or Define sublimation.
= Sublimation is a process where solid changes into a gas directly without turning into a liquid when heat is applied.

Mixture:
Mixture is a combination of two or more substances that are physically combined but not chemically bonded.
Can be separated by physical means.
