Simile: A figure of speech that compare two things using 'as' or 'like'.
Example: 
- She was as busy as bee. 
- His voice was as smooth as silk. 

Metaphor: A figure of speech that directly compares two things. ( without 'as' or 'like') 
Example:
- Time is a thief.
- Her heart is a stone. 

Personification: Personification gives living things quality to non-living things. 
Example:
- The wind whispered through the trees. 
- The sun smiled to us. 

Onomatopoeia: Use of words that imate sound. 
Examples, 
- The clock ticked loudly in the sileut room. 
- The bees buzzed around the garden. 

Hyperbole: An exaggerated statement used for emphasis or effect. 
Examples, 
- I have told you a thousand times. 
- She cried a river of tears.
